Introduction
Tellioh is a storytelling platform built for families. We help parents and grandparents create personalized stories, audio narrations, and illustrated scenes — memories that families keep forever.
We take privacy seriously, and we take it especially seriously because families share children's names, photos, and voices with us. This policy explains — in plain language — what information we collect, how we use it, and the strong protections we put around it.
If you have questions at any time, please reach out: dreamtales@launchyard.app.
02
What We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. Your password is hashed using industry-standard cryptography — we never store it in plain text and cannot read it.
Children's information (entered by parents). To personalize stories, parents or guardians may enter a child's first name, age, and interests. This information is entered by the adult — never directly by the child. Children under 13 do not create their own accounts.
Stories. We store the stories we generate, including story text, audio narration files, and the preferences you set for each story. These belong to your family.
Family Photo Magic. If you use the Family Photo Magic feature, you may upload family photos, including photos that contain children's faces. These photos are stored in Cloudflare R2 cloud storage, scoped exclusively to your family's account — no other account can access them. Photos are analyzed by OpenAI's vision API to generate a plain-text description (people, setting, mood). The photo itself is never sent to or stored by OpenAI beyond the single analysis request. Illustrated story scenes are then generated from that description using DALL-E 3. Your original photos are never shared with third parties and are never used to train AI models.
Family Narrators (voice recordings). If you record a family narrator, your voice recording is processed by ElevenLabs Instant Voice Cloning to create a personalized voice model. Voice data is stored securely and is scoped to your family's account. Voice data is never used to train AI models and is never shared with third parties beyond what is necessary to process the cloning request via ElevenLabs.
Usage data. We collect information about how you use Tellioh — pages visited, features used, stories created — to understand how to improve the product.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Tellioh does not store your card number, CVV, or full payment details.
03
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Generate personalized stories based on your inputs
- Play back narration in your family's chosen voice
- Deliver Keepsake Book orders to the address you provide
- Send account confirmations, receipts, and subscription emails
- Improve the platform based on how families actually use it
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use family data for advertising targeting. Full stop.

Photo & Voice Data — Detailed Disclosure
Family photos. Photos you upload are stored in Cloudflare R2 in a storage bucket scoped exclusively to your account. No other Tellioh account can access your photos. When you use a photo, OpenAI's vision API reads the image and returns a text description — a snapshot of people, setting, and mood. That description, not the image, is what goes to DALL-E 3 to generate an illustrated story scene. The original photo is not sent to or stored by OpenAI beyond the duration of that single analysis call. Photos are retained until you delete them or close your account.
Voice recordings. When a family member records a narrator, that recording is sent to ElevenLabs Instant Voice Cloning to generate a voice model. The recording and resulting voice model are stored securely and tied to your account alone. ElevenLabs processes the recording under a data processing agreement. Voice data is never used to train AI models outside your account.
Deletion. When you delete a photo, the original file, all derived illustrated scenes, and all story references to that photo are deleted immediately and permanently. When you delete a narrator, the original recording, the voice model, and all generated audio using that voice are deleted immediately and permanently. Deletion cannot be undone.
05
Biometric Data Notice
Voice recordings and photos of faces may constitute biometric data under applicable state law.
Users in the following states should review this policy with particular care:
- Illinois — Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA)
- Texas — Texas Capture or Use of Biometric Identifier Act (CUBI)
- Washington — Washington My Health MY Data Act
By uploading voice recordings or photos of faces, users in these states consent to the collection and use of biometric identifiers as described in this policy. Families in these states may contact us at any time to request deletion of all biometric data.
06
Children's Privacy & COPPA
Tellioh is designed for parents and guardians to use on behalf of their children. Children under 13 should not create their own Tellioh accounts. Parents create accounts; children use Tellioh under the parent's account and supervision.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. All information about children — name, age, interests, appearance details for story personalization — is entered by the parent or guardian.
If we become aware that a child under 13 has created an account without parental consent, we will delete that account and all associated data promptly.
Parents may review, update, or delete all information about their children at any time by using the account settings in the app or by contacting us directly.
Tellioh complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
